TabWare EAM maintains Vaagen mill operations

By Manufacturing Business Technology Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 6/27/2008 12:00:00 AM

AssetPoint, a provider of maintenance management software and industry best practices consulting, says Vaagen Brothers Lumber will use AssetPoint TabWare EFx CMMS/enterprise asset management (EAM) software to maintain Vaagen's manufacturing operations.
TabWare EFx will manage the newest technologies in mill processing to allow using materials down to a 2-inch top—essentially enabling forest restoration where it was not possible in the past.
Headquartered in Colville, Wash., Vaagen produces 130 million board feet of lumber a year, in addition to substantial amounts of wood by-products. By specializing in small logs, Vaagen is in the unique position to impact the forest in such a way that reduces the danger of catastrophic fires while providing habitat for wildlife and recreation.
