Supplier management: Laundry equipment maker expects to streamline procurement with SRM solution

Datamonitor NewsWire -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 2/11/2008 3:01:00 PM

Hailo, a manufacturer of laundry systems, ladders/steps and sanitation supplies for industrial and residential use, expects to improve its sourcing processes through use of a supplier relationship management (SRM) solution from Infor.
The Infor SRM SupplyWEB solution will integrate with Hailo's existing Infor ERP system to facilitate data sharing between the two systems, helping Hailo streamline supplier interaction and enhance its sourcing process.
SupplyWEB also will enable Hailo to optimize its entire replenishment process by automating time-consuming steps such as price comparison, contract development, and data analysis. Availability of supplies can be checked immediately, allowing the company to make real-time decisions regarding alternative goods or suppliers to compensate for last-minute supply shortages and ensuring the company has precise control of its manufacturing inventory. With these combined benefits, Halio can lower manufacturing costs and help its customers receive the products they need, when they need them.
As Hailo has many years of experience with Web-based supplier interaction, the company will deploy Infor SRM SupplyWEB as the central information hub for future inbound and outbound supplier requests. Says Hermann Stehlik, VP of marketing for EMEA at Infor, "With Infor SRM SupplyWEB, Hailo will benefit from a flexible, lean supply chain, enabling it to increase productivity and cash flow, and improve efficiency and quality. Infor SRM SupplyWEB also integrates easily with Hailo's existing Infor ERP solution, demonstrating our commitment to help our customers extend the value of their existing enterprise software investments."
