Double win: Atos teams with Apriso for Manufacturing Operations Management excellence

By Manufacturing Business Technology Staff -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 9/12/2008 12:53:00 PM

A new alliance allows IT services supplier Atos Origin to implement Apriso FlexNet Operations Execution System (OES) to enable real-time visibility and control over global operations.
Apriso FlexNet synchronizes plant-level operations with warehouse, maintenance, and quality processes to effectively fill the gap between ERP and automation equipment systems.
Benefits include:
• Enhanced agility across global manufacturing operations;
• Accelerated integration between plant-floor automation systems, manufacturing operations, and business planning applications; and
• Expanded throughput by seamlessly coordinating internal and external production, warehouse, quality, maintenance and other operations processes.
The partnership is actively engaged with one of the world’s largest truck manufacturers. Atos Origin will work with Apriso to design a set of best-practice business processes for integrating manufacturing operations across existing plant automation systems.
“We are pleased to offer the Apriso OES solution as an alternative to traditional [manufacturing execution systems] for those clients seeking a wider scope of operations performance improvement,” says Gene Wells, VP of consulting and systems integration, Atos Origin North America. “Working with Apriso allows us to establish highly collaborative operations environments while enabling the acceleration of our client’s ERP deployments—a double win for our customers.”
