Online marketplace to benefit from localization specialist Lionbridge

A new agreement results in Lionbridge localizing the MFG.com online marketplace in 10 languages. The translation-management specialist also will support MFG.com’s future global expansion to include Japan, India, and Brazil.
To manage the MFG.com localization process, MFG.com is using Freeway, the Lionbridge Web-based translation management platform. Via a simple Web Services connection, MFG.com will automatically push content directly from its content system to Lionbridge project managers for translation. Once translated, the content is automatically reinserted into the MFG.com environment.
MFG.com’s proprietary on-demand platform facilitates the complex process of sourcing and selling manufacturing services, connecting buyers with suppliers of manufacturing services while directing collaboration, quoting, due diligence, and analysis processes. The site serves as an online supplier relationship management tool that helps determine market pricing.
