Vendors set up better data access for rail customers

Data2Logistics will work with Transentric to offer better access to rail shipment data using Transentric's Web-based shipment visibility solution, called ShipmentVision. With Transentric's Web-based tools, Data2Logistics will get railcar location messages for its railcar mileage revenue management services. Transentric's ShipmentVision will allow shipments to be traced, and facilitate the receipt of ETAs or alerts if delivery times will not be met. Transentric's transportation customers will be able to use Data2Logistics' services for railcar mileage revenue management, rail freight overcharge recovery, consignee detention management, and demurrage and storage charge auditing.
