Adaptive software specialist Apriso says its global Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) enables a global approach to what Apriso terms Business Process LifeCycle Management, as part of the software provider’s upgraded FlexNet Global Process Manager application.
Manufacturers using FlexNet as a platform for global manufacturing Business process management (BPM) can more efficiently create, manage, and retire business processes while governing standardized best practices across a broad scope of manufacturing operations performed at multiple physical locations.
Historically, manufacturers have been challenged with the creation, standardization, and governance of business processes, including how to best identify, maintain, and distribute those considered “best-in-class. This task is further complicated when processes span multiple departments or when they must be replicated across various global locations.
FlexNet Global Process Manager delivers an innovative approach to business process governance—as part of a life cycle—by leveraging a BPM architecture “natively” embedded within the FlexNet platform.
“Manufacturers that use FlexNet’s BPM capabilities to holistically manage and standardize the lifecycle of business processes across their enterprise can quickly update processes wherever they may reside, improving agility to changing market conditions,” states John Fishell, director product management at Apriso. “This proven approach enables significant first mover competitive advantage, improved operational performance through global continuous improvement initiatives and reduced IT costs from a global approach to governance of business processes.”
FlexNet Global Process Manager improvements at a glance:
• Enhanced security options and electronic signatures to assure proper governance of changes;
• Automated checks, validations, and deployment preparation to eliminate human error;
• Tracked versioning and change management to adhere to regulatory compliance initiatives;
• Standardized business processes at one location—or many—to achieve global consistency; and
• Advanced execution of continuous improvement programs—from the top down or bottom up—to support streamlined, automated best practices distribution.
