IBM Global Services offering SOA assistance

Acting on its belief that the service-oriented architecture (SOA) will become the dominant corporate IT infrastructure, IBM Global Services has formed an SOA management practice.
An SOA can give a company the flexibility to continuously create new business processes by manipulating connections between Web services. In an early November announcement, IBM said its new practice would help users develop strategies for successful deployment of Web services, in addition to creating road maps for forming SOAs that can support an entire supply chain.
"Many customers are experiencing the benefits of their initial SOA implementations, and they tell us they want to do more," said Michael Liebow, VP, Web Services, IBM Global Services, in announcing the new practice. "But we also hear concerns that the SOA capabilities being deployed will continue to support the business as they scale to enterprisewide SOAs extending to customers, suppliers, and other partners."
