Oliver Wight and Microsoft partner on sales & operations planning
Management consulting and education firm Oliver Wight Americas struck an agreement with enterprise suite vendor Microsoft Business Solutions to provide a sales & operations planning (S&OP) software tool—along with training, education, and consulting services—to Microsoft's partners in the manufacturing industry. The agreement aims at benefiting users of Microsoft's Great Plains, Axapta, Navision, and Solomon enterprise management suites.
Oliver Wight's S&OP process ensures that operating plans across a business unit are aligned with the overall business strategy. In addition, Oliver Wight's new software—Enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Tool—is said to enable an effective S&OP process and provides a critical link between ERP systems and the management-level planning process.
