MSS Technologies, a business management solutions provider, has been designated the exclusive sales and service partner for IFS in the western U.S., and will offer IFS Applications 2004 to midsize industrial manufacturing companies. "Combining IFS' open, component-based architecture with MSS' proven experience in sales, services, and consulting makes it easy and economical for companies to be prepared in today's critical and ever-changing environment," says Michael Nordin, president, IFS North America.

Using its expertise in manufacturing, distribution, retail, financial, and hospitality, MSS will extend its capabilities by servicing midsize clients with IFS' software solutions.

White paper from Epic Data looks at manufacturing challenges

Epic Data International, a global data capture company, has released a new manufacturing white paper titled Real-Time Information and the Manufacturing Challenge, which focuses on the new manufacturing paradigm in which mass customization and extended supply chains require increased collaboration at all levels of the enterprise and supply chain.

This paper shows that, faced with accelerated physical flows through increasingly complex supply chains, manufacturers and their suppliers need to improve decision-making speed, cycle times, and collaboration.
