To our valued customers:

By David Greenfield, Publisher -- Manufacturing Business Technology, 2/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

As the new publisher of Manufacturing Business Technology, I would like to introduce myself and say how excited I am to be taking on this new role. I look forward to meeting with you in the coming months and learning about your marketing objectives.

Having spent more than a decade covering the manufacturing business, operations, and information technology markets as Editor-in-Chief of APICS and Software Strategies, and more recently as Editorial Director of Control Engineering, I have watched the evolution of the enterprise technology market since the mid-'90s, and I am pleased to be back in this market full-time. Returning as publisher of Manufacturing Business Technology makes it all the more special because this magazine has always been a recognized leader in its field.

Connecting with business decision-makers in your target audience is an increasingly difficult job for marketing professionals. We understand the challenges you face in reaching your target audience, and that's why Manufacturing Business Technology has made major investments in circulation and a redesign over the past year. The print and online content and circulation improvements that Manufacturing Business Technology has made—and continues to make—reflect the changing requirements of the manufacturing marketplace. These changes call for effective communication throughout the cross-departmental buying team responsible for purchasing applications and services that address specific business needs.

With a new look and feel, and a top-notch circulation—100 percent one-year qualified, 50 percent director-level and above across corporate, IT, and operations executives—Manufacturing Business Technology is better positioned than ever to work with you to take advantage of the upturn under way in the manufacturing sector.

I look forward to working with you in the new year to make your 2006 marketing goals a reality. Please feel free to contact me directly at any time with questions or comments.
