Fullscope will use the Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta enterprise resources planning (ERP) system to develop collaborative commerce solutions for verticals including life sciences and process manufacturing. Fullscope's solutions gather, connect, and automate internal business processes and leverage the information stored in ERP systems.
Product life-cycle management vendor Agile Software licensed the ProductFactory portfolio management solution back in June 2002 to expand its product record, quality, and cost management solutions. Now Agile has acquired the vendor ProductFactory, which targets the aerospace, automotive, and high-tech industries.
PTC and Adobe Systems are integrating Adobe Acrobat 6.0 into Windchill ProductView, PTC's visualization tool for product life-cycle management. PTC also says United Defense Industries' Armament Systems Division has purchased 900 seats of Windchill to share design information internally and externally with members of the armed forces and Department of Defense.
SmartSignal is partnering with enterprise asset management vendor Indus International for a real-time work-order maintenance solution that combines SmartSignal's Equipment Condition Monitoring (eCM) software with the forthcoming Indus CBM Connector product, which leverages XML and the Machinery Information Management Open Systems Alliance's CRIS Schemas.
Manugistics will integrate its supply chain solutions suite with Maintenix, an asset management solution from Mxi Technologies that captures point-of-maintenance data on in-service failures and non-routine work to facilitate unscheduled maintenance.
Prescient Systems says a partnership with e-Business integration software supplier Boomi will ease collaboration between consumer products goods manufacturers and their trading partners by reducing the cost of compliance, meeting trading partners' technology and data-sharing standards, and facilitating interoperability with Microsoft .NET, XML, and UCCnet platforms.
Dow Corning has selected Lighthammer's Illuminator as the plant-floor component of Dow's information delivery framework architecture. Illuminator extracts data from plant systems to get an enterprisewide view of production, quality, and supply chain data.
